Week of August 10 – 14, 2026 · ipostream.com
1 Traditional IPO + 1 SPAC · EV Battery Materials · Closed-End Fund on Deck · Published August 10, 2026
Good morning and welcome to this week's IPO Stream write-up. It's a quiet stretch heading into the traditional late-summer slowdown — just one traditional IPO on the main calendar plus a SPAC.
What's a SPAC? A Special Purpose Acquisition Company — formed specifically to raise money so they can acquire or merge with another company. Not appetizing in any way.

One of the world's larger makers of electrolytic copper foil for lithium-ion EV batteries — also supplies flexible copper-clad laminates used in 5G, consumer electronics, and energy storage. Factories in China with one under construction in Malaysia.
Customer list includes CATL, BYD, LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, and Panasonic — essentially the top names in global EV battery manufacturing. Profitable on roughly $1.6 billion in recent revenue — meaningful for a deal this size.
A pure-play materials name tied to EV battery demand — real revenue, real customers, real business. China-linked listings carry extra risk factors to weigh, but the fundamental story here is solid.

New York-based blank-check company with management that has flagged possible acquisition opportunities in China. Standard SPAC structure with shares, warrants, and rights per unit. Fits the lighter calendar as a vehicle when traditional deal flow slows — but SPACs are only interesting once a target deal is announced.
Also on the Calendar
Robinhood Ventures Fund II — a $200M closed-end fund — is also on the calendar for later in the week. These vehicles sit outside traditional IPO coverage but worth knowing about.
BW Industrial Holdings, MetaOptics, Riku Dining Group, and Web3Labs are also listed for the week of August 14 — all names we've written up previously that keep delaying. That alone is worth noting.
"That's the lineup for the week — lean, Asia-linked, and consistent with the mid-August lull. Until next week…"
